The new St John the Baptist Church-hall was blessed and opened by His Grace Archbishop Young in December 1960. It is now part of Guilford Young College.

This building replaced the St John's stone building

The bell in the tower is a special feature, it was constructed by the Polish community. This bell is a smaller version of the Zygmont bell in Cracow, Poland.
