Overview
The foundation stone was laid by Mr. Joseph Atkins (of Evandale) on the 9th November 1902. The building contractor was Mr. William Rowsthorn.
The cost of the weatherboard building was £72, leaving a debt of £20. Mr. Fielding was given a vote of thanks for cutting most of the timber for the church.
A large gathering attended the opening of the Methodist church in February 1903. The choir sang special hymns under the direction of Mr. Walter Clark and Miss Lizzie Clark played the organ, after which followed a public tea.
Tenders were called in November 1920 by Mr. W.S. Clarke for the purpose of painting the church.
This church became part of the Uniting Church of Australia in 1977. The last service was held on Sunday 9th February 2014.
In 2017 this church was advertised for sale and sold - spacious and ideal for converting into a back packer accommodation.
