Overview

In May 1910 a successful social was held at Thurstan's Hall in aid of raising funds to build a Church of England. The Church of England secured a corrugated iron building in 1911 for the sum of £45, this they turned into a church calling it St. David's.

The first service at St. David's was was Holy Communion conducted by the Ven. Archdeacon of Darwin on Sunday 31st December 1911 at 8.45 am. After the service the Archdeacon gave an address to the men and women about the moral effect of a good wife and mother.

The decline of Dundas had started and by the1920s there were many deserted cottages. The last Post Mistress was Miss L.E. Platt in 1931.
