Overview

An Anglican church was dedicated at Rosebery in February 1915 and in April 1917 a harvest festival was held in the little church.

St George's new church was opened in June 1930 with four services being held by Ven. Archdeacon Atkinson. Services were well attended, especially the evening one which could not accommodate all those who attended. The builder was complemented on the workmanship of the building.

An article written by Vera Whittington in The Tasmanian Anglican, July 2001 stated:

St George's Church, Rosebery opened its doors in 1930 and closed them for the last time on 5 May 2001 ...

In April 2022 sadly this church was in disrepair.
