Overview
Hobart's first Independent Chapel for the Congregational Church was built in Brisbane Street. The foundation stone was laid on the 28th May 1831 and it opened for worship on Good Friday the 20th April 1832. It was the first Independent church in the colonies.
This building was replaced in 1911
