Upper Gawler Presbyterian Church (McCulloch Memorial Church)

This church was originally the Presbyterian church from Barrington. In May 1939 the building was reassembled at Upper Gawler on land provided by Mr. L. McCulloch. The church was also known as the McCulloch Memorial Church.

The dedication ceremony at Gawler was held on Sunday 28th May 1939 by the Rev. A.R. Barnett from Devonport. The building was constructed of weatherboards and measured 37 feet long and 25 feet wide, it is located on the road between Sprent and Gawler. Situated on the block is the McCulloch cemetery which pre dates the church.

Services were discontinued in 1969 due to families leaving the district. When R.S. Miller wrote the book Presbyterian Church of Tasmania, Triple Jubilee 1973 he stated that the future of the building was under consideration.
