Overview
There was no actual church built at Lake Margaret, but for several years Methodist services were held in the private home of Mr. Frank W. Martin.
With no transport in to Lake Margaret other than a goods tramline, the minister would travel in and be billeted for the night.
In 2014 Mr. Frank W. Martin published a book about his life at the Lake Margaret in Born to Rain - Life with the Lake Margaret Power Station during the Nineteen Thirties, Forties and Fifties. The black & white photograph of his cottage is from Frank's book.
