Overview
The Gospel Hall opened in Fenton Street on the 21st December 1903. Prior to that (1899) three families would meet in a Devonport home.
The small timber building measured 35ft x 25ft, had plastered walls and a dado. It could comfortably seat 140 people and was fitted out with electricity.
In November 1953 the CWA purchased the Gospel Hall building in Fenton Street. The image below shows them taking possession.
Hope at St Paul's Kitchen is currently occupying the front section of building.
A new church was built in Oldaker Street and is known as Oldaker Street Christian Centre (OSCC) see No. 1061.
