Overview

Built as a Punishment Station it opened in 1842 and closed in 1847. Because crown land was unavailable at the time the station was built on Invercarron land owned by William (Wingy) Gunn.

Very little remains of this station today and it's not surprising considering the state of the buildings in a 1847 report - The whole station within and without was found to be in a disgracefully neglected state ...

... Of the two mess Rooms the larger is used as a Chapel and School ...

This property was sold in June 2017.

The following monument was erected in 1974 near the Broadmarsh hall.
