Overview
The Mount Pleasant property situated near York Plains in the midlands, it was originally 11,780 acres owned by the O'Connor family from 1836.
Mount Pleasant was renamed Pawtella and in 1911 the population was 117 residents. In the 1940’s the school/church it was used by both the Presbyterians and Anglicans. One month Anglican’s the next month Presbyterians. The Presbyterian Minister at the time was Rev. Henderson and the Anglican Minister was Rev. Oldham.
