Overview
In September 1895, a group of Adventists embarked on a journey from Latrobe to East Devonport, where they organized a significant baptismal ceremony at the Torquay Baths. The following year, in 1896, Emmanuel Brandstater took charge of conducting evangelistic cottage gatherings at 'Melrose,' where an enthusiastic audience of 20-30 individuals eagerly participated.
During the year 1899, the construction of the Latrobe Seventh-day Adventist church took place on private property, marking the establishment of the third Adventist church in Tasmania.
Once the entire membership had relocated elsewhere, the building eventually ceased its operations and was subsequently sold.
