Meander Church of England Sunday School

In 1957, Maud Elmer documented a notable discord between the adherents of the Church of England and other religious denominations. The Reverend J.G. Morling, serving as the Minister from Deloraine, officiated services at the residence of Mr. George Collins.

The first wedding ceremony was conducted on the 22nd May, 1858, uniting Miss. Margaret Elmer and Mr. Joseph Roberts at the residence of John and Francis Elmer at Ditchley, within the Cheshunt Estate.

The Sunday School, located prominently along the main street, endures as a testament to historical continuity. Its enduring presence serves as a symbol of the community's longstanding commitment to religious education and tradition.
