St Michael's

First Anglican services were held in the Natone State School. In July 1919 the old Anglican church at Wynyard was moved to Natone. A newspaper article in the Examiner newspaper in July 1919 states:

MOVING A CHURCH Shortly after daybreak the residents of the centre of Burnie were startled by an unusual sound, which turned out to be several teams drawing a church building to Natone from Wynyard. The journey from Wynyard evidently had been undertaken during the night, in order to avoid the large amount of traffic usual on this road ...

This wooden church building was re-erected in 1920, with the first wedding celebrated between Mr. Albert E. Anderson and Miss Jessie Aitken both of Natone in October of that year. At the time the church lacked internal furnishings.

Dorothea Henslowe states that in September 1962 negotiations were in progress for the building to be purchased by the Methodist's at Waratah.
