T he tender for the erection of the new weatherboard Wesleyan church was awarded to Messrs. Gunn Brothers in April 1896.
A large congregation attended the opening of the Wesleyan Church in June 1896. The ladies decorated the church, the choir sang at the service conducted by the Rev. Henry Bath.
