George Town Baptist Church

Prior to this development, church services were held in private homes, reflecting the early stages of the congregation's growth under their leadership.

Founded in 1958, George Town Baptist Church is a member of the Baptist Union of Tasmania, which is connected to the Baptist Union of Australia and the global Baptist World Alliance. Over the years, the church has actively fostered positive relationships with other Christian denominations in George Town, leading to collaborative projects and joint worship services, reflecting a spirit of unity among the local churches.
