Lalla Presbyterian Church

A large congregation attended the opening of the new weatherboard Presbyterian Church at Lalla on June 1930 by the Right Rev. J.C. Jones, Moderator of the Presbyterian Church.

The building had for many years, stood at Brown Mountain, but owing to the decline of parishioners it was decided to move the building to Lalla. After it was pulled down they found that very little could be used in the new construction, so most of the building is new. The building and painting was carried out by Rev. W.T. Baker and Mr. T.S. Cole. A sign was placed at the front of the partly finished building saying Baker and Cole, Builders and Contractors.

The old derelict Lalla Presbyterian Church was purchased by Ian and Rose Lake in 2018. It was moved to their property and is now known as the Leaning Church Vineyard.
