Overview

A Wesleyan Church was opened at Brandy Creek on Sunday 17th February 1878. This was the first church opening at Brandy Creek and attracted a large congregation of people, many from long distances.

In October 1899 it was decided that a new church would be built, the building fund at the time had £566.

A large assembly of the community witnessed the laying of the foundation stone for the new church on 11th May 1900. It was an unusual event because of the consummation of the union of the Methodist churches in the circuit. The Beaconsfield circuit was one of the first to avail themselves of this provision. From now on it was not to be a Wesleyan.
