In Lorinna, a small rural area on the eastern side of Lake Cethana located 16 km south of Gowrie Park and 38 km from Sheffield, a Sunday School was established by Christen Brethren families Dave and Louise Young and Louisa's brother Henry Forward and his wife Ada.
T he Daily Telegraph, Launceston, Thursday 4th August 1910 reported the following:
COUNTRY NEWS [From Our Own Correspondents] - LORINNA
The school hall, which is being erected by the residents, is almost completed. It is hoped that Government are moving in the matter of supplying the Lorinna people with a school teacher. The building is 15ft by 22ft, and will be used for church and other purposes. Mr Thos. King, of Sheffield, held a meeting in the building on Sunday afternoon, and a large congregation assembled for the opening of the first public building in the district.
