Overview

This wooden church was opened and blessed by Monsignor Gilleran V.G. on the Tuesday 28th January 1919. Catholic's from all over the district were present to celebrate the Mass by Father O'Connor B.A. The church was free of debt when it opened.

Monsignor Gilleran represented Archbishop Delany who was unable to attend. He spoke in glowing terms of the past Irish emigrants who were pioneers of the district and how they experienced hard battles to make homes for themselves and families.

The last Mass at St Patrick's Church was celebrated on 25th November 2001.

It was advertised for sale in 2003 and 2004, purchased and converted into a private residence.

This building has recently listed for sale.
