Overview
Alberton is a small town in the Dorset Municipality, it was proclaimed under the Police Act in 1865 , with the latest proclamation being in May 1904.
A small wooden church was the place of worship at Alberton, this building was used by several denominations.
In 1899 Rev. Route of Scottsdale visited the region, it was understood that he would be holding three services a month.
Funds were provided to Rev. Taylor in July 1900 for the improvements to the building. The Daily Telegraph reported the wedding between Miss. E. Turner and Mr. T.W. Edward taking place in 1903 by the Presbyterian Minister Rev. T. Cunningham.
This building was last used as a barn on Mr. A. Carter’s property, but no longer exists.
