Overview

Early services were held in a building owned by a Mr. Pickett.

Tenders were called and advertised for the erection of the Wesleyan Church at Chudleigh in the Daily Telegraph newspaper in March 1885.

TENDERS for Erection of Wesleyan Church at Chudleigh are invited, and will be received at the Wesleyan Parsonage, Deloraine (where plans and specifications may be seen), till Thursday evening. March 19.
Lowest or any tender not necessarily accepted

The opening service for the new Wesleyan church at Chudleigh was conducted by Rev. Mr. Thompson In July 1885.

At a Wesleyan District meeting in Hobart in November 1885, it was reported that a loan of £40 had been approved for the Chudleigh church.

In September 1949 a fire broke out in the Methodist church , it was reported the trouble arose from a burning chimney at the home of Mr. Lee and high winds. The damage to the church was estimated to be £10.

Today it has been converted into a private residence.
