Overview
The chapel sits on land donated by Mr. James Green Esquire and was erected in 1867. Mr. Green was a saw-miller who wished his employees to attend church services.
Anniversary services were held in the Primitive Methodist Chapel at Mountain Vale on the 3rd May 1868 by the Rev. J.H. Palreyman.
The Examiner newspaper dated September 1882 reported that two services, one at 11am and the other at 2.30pm would be held in the Mountain Vale church by Rev. F. Siden.
All that remain is the cemetery which stands within the church grounds.
