Overview
Two years after a number of Launceston’s leading citizens had resolved to have a place of worship built for those of their Scots Presbyterian faith, the church at 63 Charles Street was completed. The first service was held there in October 1833. Within 17 years, the congregation had outgrown the church and commissioned the building of St Andrews. The last service at Scots Church was held in December 1850. The building was turned over the commercial uses, and late in the 19th Century a second storey was added.
