Sheffield Gospel Hall (Bible Chapel)

A new chapel and schoolmaster's residence have been erected at Kentishbury

by the Believer; the buildings are quite

an ornament to the place. The chapel was

opened for divine service a few Sundays

since by Messrs. Brown and Moyse, Evangelists, who have been laboring in the

district for some time past, with great

success.

On Sunday, the 10th of October 1875, amidst a gathering of attendees from distant locales, the inaugural ceremony for the Gospel Hall marked a significant occasion. The funds collected for the construction of the hall totaled £7, while expenses incurred amounted to £8-9-9. Notably, this unassuming structure appears to be Tasmania's earliest known Gospel Hall.
