St Mark's Chapel of Ease

First services at Kangaroo Point were conducted in February 1826 by Rev. Robert Knopwood, it is reported they were held close to the current church.

The first Divine Service in St Mark's Chapel after its consecration was performed by the Chaplain Rev. W.W.F. Murray M.A. in June 1852.

Leaving the Point, and taking the road past St Marks's Chapel (a neat little building, but having nothing to recommend it either out or inside, saving its simplicity) ...

At a well attended meeting of parishioners in September 1900, it was discussed to increase the new church building fund. A committee was formed, the rector, churchwarden and 10 others to manage the fund. Subscriptions, fairs, excursions and entertainments were agreed upon. It was planned that the jubilee consecration of the new chapel would take place on 1st June 1902 with a special effort to have the foundation stone laid in the jubilee week.

This building has stood the test of time. In 1932 it was restored and used by the guides and scouts.

This church was on the 2018 Anglican rationalisation list, it was sold in 2020.
