Overview

Originally called St Thomas' the foundation stone was laid 6th November 1903 by Mrs. Mercer. This wooden church was dedicated in April 1904.

In June 1919, in the presence of a large congregation of people the Governor Sir Francis Newdegate laid the foundation stone for the new chancel.

This church was on the 1997 Anglican rationalisation list. It was last being used as a play centre and is listed to be closed in 2018.

In July 2020, the building was sold and transferred into private ownership.
