Overview
A social was held at Westbury in aid of funds to build a Catholic church at Bracknell.
St Kieran's Catholic church was opened for divine service in July 1899 by Bishop Delany, it was not completely finished at the time.
Mr. Thompson of Launceston, the contractor; finished off the church in 1900, lining it with blackwood, the best vanished blackwood was used on the dado. He also added the vestry. The church was dedicated on St Kieran's feast day the 9th September 1900.
In April 1952, tenders were called for the removal of the Catholic church at Bracknell and the re-erection at Rowella.
