Dulcot Temporary Church

The records of the Registrar General's Department reveal that on the 29th of July, 1878, a matrimonial union was solemnized between Matilda Ratcliff and John James Murray. The ceremony is documented as having taken place "in the temporary church at Dulcot."

Despite diligent inquiries, the precise location of this edifice remains elusive. However, it is plausible that this so-called 'temporary church' may have been the local school-house, a common dual-purpose structure in the era, frequently serving both as an educational institution and a venue for religious observances.
