St Andrew's

This wooden church was framed in hardwood by the distinguished architect and builder, Mr. R. Eustace of Ulverstone. The structure measured 45 feet in length and 19 feet in width, featuring stained glass windows at both ends and an additional six stained glass windows along the sides. The interior lining was crafted from tongue and groove varnished pine, while the rafters and communion rails were made of elegant blackwood.

On Friday, 31 October 1890, His Lordship Bishop Montgomery formally opened and consecrated St. Andrew's Church. The ceremony was attended by 30 parishioners, marking a significant event in the church and Sprent's history.

Church News January 1966 states:

However, the present church is not the original church building erected by the Church of England at Sprent.

The first church, which was also used as a school was built by working bees, organised by the men of the district. The initial services were held in this church by the Revd. C. B. Broome.

A closing ceremony took place on 13th November 1998 and in 2001 the building was relocated to 18 Stockdale Avenue, Sisters Beach and is now a private residence.
