Overview

In the year 1895, in close proximity to the former homesteads of two esteemed pioneers of the district, Messrs. Biddle and Stevens, a modest wooden church was constructed. This edifice served a dual purpose, functioning not only as a place of worship but also as a school, thus becoming a focal point of the community's spiritual and educational life.

On Sunday, the 30th of May in the year 2015, the new Church of England was ceremoniously inaugurated by the Venerable Archdeacon Beresford, acting as the representative of the Bishop of Tasmania. Erected at the expense of two hundred pounds, the newly constructed and substantial weatherboard building was adorned with blackwood and pine paneling and featured stained glass windows, showcasing both craftsmanship and aesthetic refinement. It was constructed under the auspices of Mr. A. M. Harman of Ulverstone, whose expertise and dedication were instrumental in its realization. The sacred vessels of the altar were graciously bestowed upon the Reverend S. P. H. Martin by a church society in England, symbolizing a transcontinental bond of faith and devotion.

The exact location of this church is unknown.

This building no longer exists.
