Overview
St Peter's Catholic church at Youngtown was blessed by Archbishop E.V. Tweedy on Sunday 16th November 1952. The building was expected to hold upward of 270 people.
This small wooden church served the Catholic community of Kings Meadows, Youngtown and Franklin Village for 25 years. A new brick church was opened on a hill across the road.
