St Saviour's

In early 1886 collections were made at a harvest thanksgiving service at Holy Trinity Church, Beaconsfield to raise funds for a church at Frankford. The new Anglican church of St Saviour's was opened on Sunday 23rd January 1887, the timber building cost £170. The first service was conducted by the Rev. Humphrey Davis from Beaconsfield. St Saviour's was consecrated five years later by Bishop Montgomery on the 26th November 1891.

A SWAYING CHURCH - WORKSHIP ABRUPLY CLOSED

Work in connection with the restoration of St Saviour's Church, Frankford, was commenced on Monday by Mr. Tunks. The swaying of the building (says our correspondent) has been getting worse for some time past, and on Sunday last the Rev. C.C. Macmichael had to bring the service to an abrupt conclusion and dismiss the congregation. Thanks to the efforts of the ladies of the district, a sum of £30 was raised at the recent fair, and this will enable the wardens to give a more finished appearance to the edifice.

This church was closed and became a private residence, the residence was listed for sale as a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom house in 2022.
