Overview

The Mercury newspaper on the 2nd October 1902 with the heading 'Is Tasmania Godless' reports:

... So as the assertion that Tasmanian is a God-forsaken place is concerned. I am simply astonished with the amount of quality of the church feeling which exists there. For example, I have never seen more real enthusiasm manifested than I did at the consecration of the little bush church at Parkham the other day. No more genuine for the work could have been displayed ...

The church was designed by Mr. North, the diocesan architect and constructed of native woods. The land was a gift from Mr. Radford sen. The dedication took place on the 22nd September 1902.

St Alban’s Church Hall was opened in July 1915, and the church porch was added in August 1953.

In November 1962 Church News states a sixtieth anniversary of the church had taken place. In 2018 this church is a Community Centre.
