Overview

The Glenfern church was built of concrete and cement render in 1907 at a cost of £170, it was consecrated by Bishop Mercer in 1908.

The following report was in the Daily Telegraph newspaper:

New Norfolk Parish has added to its goodly record extension work by the building of a pretty church at Glenfern.

By 1951 there was a decline in church numbers, with only one family attending services. By July 1954 this church had ceased to function. It was burnt down in the 1967 bush fires.
