Overview

At a meeting of the Church Trustees in 1911 a plan of the proposed site was examined. Mr. C.G. Smith the District Surveyor kindly surveyed the site and supplied the plans free of charge. Tenders were called and Mr. R.H. Apted's proposal £133.0.0 of was accepted on the 25th December 1912.

TENDER FOR ANGLICAN CHURCH, GOULDS COUNTRY - I, the undersigned, tender and agree to find all material, wood, stone, lime, cement, iron and all other necessaries for building foundation to the height of one foot and a half on lower side and one foot on high side, And built up on lower foundation with good substantial timber to level of front specifications. And to complete same according to plan and specifications. And to complete building by the first day of August 1912, for the sum of £133.0.0 (one hundred and thirty three pounds) and will full stone foundation for sum of £140.0.0 (one hundred and forty pounds. Signed R.H. APTED.

The new church was opened and dedicated by Archdeacon Beresford of Launceston on the 15th November 1912.
