Overview

In February 1924 a successful evening of entertainment was held in the newly opened mission hall at Lutana, this timber building was to become St Anne's Mission Hall.

In 1974 a new modern, wedge shaped church with a narthex* built of concrete block was constructed, it was designed by Rev. R.M. Potter. The building was dedicated in December 1974 and consecrated on the 26th July 1977.

The church was built by contract and local volunteer labour.

In 2018 this church was on the 'for sale' list. It is was being used by Simplicity Funerals as a Chapel.

*The narthex is an architectural element typical of early Christian and Byzantine basilicas and churches consisting of the entrance or lobby area, located at the west end of the nave, opposite the church's main altar. ... By extension, the narthex can also denote a covered porch or entrance to a building.
