In August 1901, The Church News documented the construction of a church underway at Exton. By January 1902, the completion and dedication of the church were announced.
The church remained in active use as late as 1978 but ceased operations by 1991. Following its closure, a window from the church was relocated to the Kanangra Hostel & Nursing Home Chapel in Deloraine.
