Overview
The foundation stone of Holy Cross Church was laid in January 1892. The opening service took place in January 1893 with the Rev. Canon Adams officiating. Before that, services were held in the State School. It was reported in the newspaper as:
The church is a decent little edifice of weatherboard, standing on what a Yankee would call a rock foundation, and capable of seating about 150.
The five sided apsidal sanctuary in brick was built in 1955 and dedicated in August that year.
In 1966 the church was remodeled and a new vestry built.
This church was sold in 2003, it is a private residence.
