Barrington Presbyterian Church

In August 1893, official authorization was granted for the construction of a Presbyterian church in Barrington. Positioned atop a prominent hill, the church quickly became a notable landmark within the district.

In March 1896, commemorative services were held to mark the anniversary of the Presbyterian church in Barrington.

Following a period of closure, services resumed in October 1927, signaling a renewed phase of activity for the church.

Around 1929, the Presbyterian church in Barrington began a collaborative arrangement with the Anglican denomination, reflecting a spirit of ecumenism.

In May 1938, local newspapers reported that the church edifice was slated for relocation to Gawler in the Ulverstone district, marking a significant transition in its geographical presence.
