Overview

Over 250 residents within the St Helen's Home Mission signed a petition in January 1906 to the chairman of the Launceston district (Rev. S.T. Withington) requesting the present minister the Rev. Dennis John Gooday be allowed to stay a third year. Rev. Gooday had extended membership and set up a fund for the erection of a church at Lottah, he was also responsible for the site of a church at Pyengana.

In early April 1909 a successful 'sale of gifts' raised £4.16s at the Anchor Hall in aid of funds for the Methodist Church at Lottah. The wedding of Mr. Francis Nicklason of Pyengana to Miss Elsie Vera Colthart of Lottah took place on the 9th August 1911 in this church.

This building was removed to Weldborough in November 1930.
